Rich tribute paid to Shaheed Journalist Khalil Jibran

Journalists and abd political parties leaders in a condolence refrence paid a euch ttribute to the slain journalist and former president of Landikotal Press Club Khalil Jibran Afridi who was shot dead on June 8 ladt month.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Shah Rehman, President of Landikotal Press Club, welcomed the guests while president of the Tribal Union of Journalists(merged districts) thanked the guests and paid tribute to Khalil Jibran Shaheed. He noted that Khalil Jibran was a voice for peace and development at the regional level, and thus his voice was permanently silenced.
The reference was attended by individuals from various walks of life, including former MPA Shafiq Sher Afridi, Mayor Landikotal Shah Khalid Shinwari, ANP leader Shah Hussain Shinwari, former minority MPA Wilson Wazir, PTM Khyber coordinator Aftab Shinwari, National Party leader Dr.Azam Afridi, Nojawanan-e-Qabail leader Israr Shinwari, Landikotal Welfare Organization President Akhtar Ali, Khalil Jibran’s son Jibran Afridi, JUI leader Maulana Ali Ahmad and Maulana Taqi Ahmad, along with all journalists from the Landikotal Press Club.
Speakers paid a rich tributes to Khalil Jibran and appreciated his journalistic services for the people of Landikotal. They lamented that the administration has yet to arrest Khalil Jibran’s killers, which is a matter of great sorrow.
The speakers also pointed out that provincial government did not announce Shaheed package for the family of the slain journalist.
The speakers demanded justice for Khlil Jibran’s children and asked the authorities to arrest and punishment of his killers.
The speakers emphasized that peace, prosperity, and development are fundamental rights and stressed the need to continue the struggle for these rights through peaceful protests.
At the end, with Maulana Ali Ahmad offered special prayer for the departed soul of Khalil Jibran Shaheed.
