CM-KP hosts tribal jirga on the pressing concerns of merged districts

A meeting was held at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s House here on Thursday, where Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur assured Jirga leaders of addressing the pressing concerns of the merged districts. He pledged to provide basic amenities to the people and alleviate their deprivations.
According to an official statement released by the KP Chief Minister’s House, the meeting was convened to discuss the issues affecting the merged districts, with a focus on finding solutions to the challenges faced by the region.
The tribal grand was attended by high-ranking officials from the province.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for a comprehensive developmental plan for the merged districts, ensuring that the long-standing deprivations faced by the tribal belt would be promptly addressed.
The Chief Minister’s commitment to devising a comprehensive plan signifies a crucial step towards bridging the developmental gap in the merged districts, paving the way for improved infrastructure, services, and economic opportunities for the region’s inhabitants.
The tribal Jirga was assured by Chief Minister Gandapur of improving the lives of the people in the merged districts.
The provincial government is taking pragmatic steps to provide employment opportunities through mineral resources and agriculture development, Ali Amin Gandapure said and added that recruitment of local people in government jobs would be ensured.
He said that the provincial government has decided to give interest-free loans for the youth of the tribal region.
He said that steps have been afoot to promote tourism in the merged districts.
The KP government is focused on maintaining the law and order situation in the erstwhile Fata with the help of community support, CM-KP said.
Gandapure assured the Jira members for the development and infrastructure and facilities in the merged district.
CM Gandapur assured that the provincial government will take serious steps to bring the merged districts at par with other developed areas, despite financial constraints.
He said that a comprehensive development program has been arranged, with ample funds allocated for development works.
“Unfortunately, the promises made to us at the time of the merger did not materialize,” he said.
CM KP said the government will focus on developing the tourism, agriculture, and mineral sectors, which will help create jobs and stimulate economic growth in the merged districts.
