Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has said we will pass the bill only when our numbers are complete.
“Bill talks of reforms. We will only be able to pass the bill when necessary numbers are secured . Cases against me are baseless, he said this while talking to media men here Saturday.
I have old relations with Maulana Fazlur Rehman . I respect him, He has worked together with us. I will offer no comment about him, . he added.
Who instituted case against me , today we are giving votes to them. The bill which is going to be passed is not a specific bill.
When numbers are completed on the bill regarding extension in the service period of heads of the institutions, then the bill will become approved, he remarked.
Speculations are there regarding completion of number.
We all have to work together. This is time to think about the country. The personal interest should be shunned.
Senate adopted unanimous resolution on the matter of arrest of parliamentarians and the arrests were condemned as well, he indicated.
He observed no one will take KP Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur seriously nor are we in favor of governor rule.
