KOHAT: Kohat police on Saturday arrested a notorious robber involved in various cases of robberies at gunpoint, informed Kohat police spokesman. The robber named Noor Khan aka NoorI, also an Ice drug addict was arrested by the Gumbat Police during an intelligence-based operation. A stolen motorcycle, weapons used in crimes and ice drugs were recovered from his possession. The successful operation was carried out by SHO Gumbat Waqar Afridi and his team, Cases under various sections were registered against the accused at three police stations. APP
The spokesman said that DPO Kohat Mohammad Umar Khan had received complaints regarding snatchings of motorcycles, cash, mobile phones and valuables from citizens at gunpoint mostly during the night time.
The DPO formed a special investigation team under the headship of DSP Gambit Nazer Hussain and SHO Gambit and directed them to formulate a comprehensive strategy to arrest the accused.
The police team tracked down the accused through advanced investigation methods and ground intelligence and succeeded in his arrest.
The accused who has confessed to committing several crimes of robbery was handed over to an investigation team for further revelations.
