Islamabad(PR):Chief Executive PESCO has directed the Pesco Technical Staff to adopt all precautionary measures to avoid electrocution and electric shocks for their own safety. He directed them to ensure the safety measures with letter & sprit.CEO deplored the deaths of line men while working on lines. He said that Pesco workers are our precious assets, he directed the Line Staff to adopt all safety measures while working on lines. CEO further directed line staff Do not start work without PTW (Permit to work).Before starting work, be sure that power supply is shutdown. Poles on both the sides must be properly earthen for the safety of technical staff working on line/pole. Do not stand on Transformer or any other electrical instrument while working. Be-careful from the streetlights and neutral cables. Fasten your safety belt while working on line. Always put on Helmet and Rubber gloves while working. Thread stitched shoes must be used by the linemen and avoids nail fixed shoes while working on line. Fix ladder tightly with the pole. Keep working instruments in proper condition. Use tight cotton clothes. Don’t use loose and silky clothes, while working on line. Be-careful and more vigilant while working on lines.
He said that the safety day must be celebrated regularly so that employees are educated about their safety, he stressed that by implementing and adopting these precautionary measures including safety rules and regulations, fatal accidents can be avoided and precious lives of employees could be secured.
