Commissioner inspects ongoing polio drive

Commissioner Kohat Division, Syed Motasim Billah Shah on Wednesday along with the District Health Officer reviewed and monitored the ongoing anti-polio campaign in different areas of the district.
The Commissioner, under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa program Awami Agenda also reviewed the implementation of the action plan for vaccinating children in various villages and streets, besides monitoring the campaign in several basic health units and hospitals.
He also met with the parents who refused to vaccinate their children against polio at different places. After highlighting the importance and effectiveness of polio drops, the parents were convinced and allowed anti-polio drops to their children. He himself administered anti-polio drops to some children.
Motasim Billah visited various vaccination points and encouraged the polio workers and security personnel for their dedication.
Khule Kachehri held in Swat
SWAT: The District Public Prosecutor’s office, in collaboration with Peace and Justice Network Pakistan, held an open court (Kule Kachehri) here on Tuesday. The event aimed to provide a platform for citizens to voice their concerns and seek swift justice. Regional Director Prosecution Malakand Division, Syed Naeem Khan, assured participants that their grievances would be addressed. Traders Federation President Abdul Rahim criticized arbitrary fines imposed on shopkeepers by various departments.
Journalists demanded prosecutors’ presence in police stations during FIR registration.

Khan emphasized prosecutors’ role in ensuring justice and vowed to eliminate obstacles. “We will not deny justice to anyone,” he said.

The open court initiative is part of efforts to increase transparency and accountability in the region.
