Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Danish Sikandar won the National Junior Under-13 Squash Championship held in Karachi.
He is undergoing training under the supervision of senior squash coach Tahir Iqbal. The Directorate General of Sports has termed his success as a matter of pride for the province and Bannu.
Danish was selected and trained by the Directorate General of Sports through under Bank of Khyber’s Talent Hunt Program in November 2023. Coach Tahir Iqbal has paid tribute to the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bank of Khyber, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association and Pakistan Squash Federation for supporting and training young talent like Danish.
He said that they were focusing on further improving Danish Sikandar’s game and preparing him for international competitions. If he continues to work hard in the same way, he will soon make Pakistan proud at global level. He said that the efforts of the Directorate General Sports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association and Pakistan Squash Federation will bear fruit to regain the lost glory in squash at global level.
