Awami National Party (ANP) Central President Aimal Wali Khan has expressed concern over the manipulation of youth by certain political actors.
He condemned the way PTI workers are being misled, stating, “These young people are being urged to sacrifice their lives, yet their leaders abandon them to face the consequences alone.”
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday Aimal Wali Khan criticized the PTI leadership for using its workers as shields while claiming to fight for justice.
“They push their workers to the frontlines against the state but flee at the first sign of trouble,” he remarked.
Aimal Wali Khan called for Imran Khan’s release from jail but stressed that the current approach by PTI is counterproductive, accusing its leaders of perpetuating the drama to solidify their own agendas.
The ANP leader also condemned the violence in Kurram district, where sectarian clashes have displaced entire communities.
“While blood was being shed in my district, Kurram, PTI leaders were busy staging protests in Islamabad.
“Villages in Kurram are empty, and people are living under open skies, homeless and abandoned,” he lamented.
Aimal Wali Khan criticized the provincial government for its inaction, asking, “Does the Chief Minister even know what is happening in his own province?” He also called out the federal government and the establishment, questioning their roles in enabling PTI’s rise to power and its subsequent failures.
Highlighting the suffering of the Pashtun people, Aimal Wali Khan noted that while Punjab and Sindh continue to develop, KP remains mired in violence and instability.
He urged the Chief Minister to take responsibility for the lives lost during the protests and compensate the families of PTI martyrs personally, rather than draining the resources of the already struggling province.
He called for unity among Pashtuns, emphasizing the need to address their long-standing grievances and ensure justice and development for the region.
