PESHAWAR: Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Masood Ahmad has stated that the purpose of education is not merely to secure employment, but to build a respectable and dignified society. He emphasized that teachers have the responsibility to focus on nurturing values such as honesty, character development, and a strong work ethic in children from the very beginning. These remarks were made during his speech at the 68th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of Abbottabad Public School, held on the second day of Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur’s two-day visit to Hazara Division. Masood Ahmad further emphasized that all professions are respectable, and when teachers instill the importance of moral integrity and excellence in character, the nation will achieve the great goal of transformation and true progress. He added that this will guide the nation towards real development. During the event, the school children performed national songs, naats, and speeches, which were highly appreciated by the attendees.
