Supreme Court (SC) Karachi registry has sought reply from federal government and other concerned authorities in the matter of sending empty cartons in place of laptops to US.
Petition against sacking of Pakistan Post Office employee came up for hearing in SC Karachi registry Saturday.
Deputy Attorney General (DAG) said the petitioner committed fraud and due to which he was dismissed from service. The petitioner has confessed his offence and paid the amount. The employee performed service for 43 years and he will have to suffer highly.
The counsel for the petitioner said Manzoor Mughal was incharge of international mailing .
DAG said citizen of Karachi had sent laptop to US and Manzoor Mughal did not send laptops to US for 40 days. He kept laptops with him after 40 days and sent only empty cartons to US.
DAG said the accused confessed the offence and paid money against price of lap tops.
