Police bust liquor supply gang, 2 held

PESHAWAR: In a successful operation under the supervision of DSP Yakatoot Circle Sher Afzal Khan and SHO Police Station Agha Mir Jani Shah Ijaz Khan, Peshawar police arrested two individuals involved in the illegal supply of liquor to various parts of the city. Acting on a tip-off, police personnel set up a blockade on Circular Road and intercepted a suspicious rickshaw. Upon searching the vehicle, officers recovered 20 bottles of liquor and arrested two accused: Habib, son of Gul Rehman, a resident of Asia Gate, and Inam, son of Rashid Gul, a resident of Dir Colony. The arrested men were found to be involved in delivering liquor to clients at their doorsteps, taking orders via mobile phones. They supplied the illicit substance across different areas, including the inner city, using rickshaws. The rickshaw used for the illegal activity was also seized. A case has been registered against the arrested individuals, and further investigations are ongoing.
