C&W officials assure contractors of fair, transparent treatment

PESHAWAR: Senior officials of the Communication and Works (C&W) Department have assured the Constructors Association of Pakistan (CAP) that no contractor will face discrimination and that all matters will be handled in a fair and transparent manner. A CAP delegation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa met Chief Engineer (Central) Jamshed Khattak and Chief Engineer (South-I) Noor Sahib Jan at the office of the Chief Engineer (Central) here on.[day] Naveed Shaheen also attended the meeting on the special instructions of the Chief Minister of KP. The meeting focused on issues concerning the welfare of contractors and the smooth functioning of departmental operations. Both chief engineers assured the CAP representatives that the department was committed to upholding merit and providing equal opportunities to all constructors. Speaking after the meeting, CAP KP Vice Chairman Pir Zarif Shah and Chief Coordinator Arshad Shaheen expressed satisfaction over the assurances. They thanked the chief minister for deputing Mr. Shaheen to facilitate the meeting, and appreciated the cooperation extended by Mr. Shaheen, Chief Engineer Khattak and Chief Engineer Jan.
