Modern scientific research key to achieving economic growth; Dr Shafqat

Provincial Minister for Science and Information Technology Dr Shafqat Ayaz has highlighted the importance of modern scientific research in solving the region’s problems and driving economic growth.
He made these remarks during an important meeting at the Directorate of Science and Technology, where Director General Sajjad Hussain Shah provided a comprehensive briefing on ongoing projects and challenges. Dr Ayaz stressed that improving the agricultural sector through modern scientific methods is key to achieving self-sufficiency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“The best solution to the problems of the people lies in the application of contemporary scientific research,” he remarked, particularly urging efforts to educate farmers on advanced cultivation techniques.
The Minister commended the Directorate’s efforts and called for more focus on training students, guiding the public, and promoting cutting-edge scientific research.
He assured that the provincial government would extend full support to the Directorate’s initiatives to ensure the people’s problems are addressed and to set new milestones for development in the province.
