Advisor to CM, KP on health expresses displeasure over shortage of health facilities in Landi Kotal

Advisor to Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP)on health Ihtesham Ali Khan expressed his deep concern over the lack of medicines and health staff in emergency unit during his surprise visit to District Headquarter Hospital(DHQ),Landi Kotal on Tuesday night.
Flanked by Additional Secretary Health and HRM Khezar Hayat, the advisor CM examined the emergency unit of the DHQ and met with patients.
They complained of lack of medicines and health staff in an emergency and said even a syringe was bought from a private medicine store, outside of the health center to inject.
He also inspected the medicine store in the emergency unit and expressed his displeasure over shortage of necessary medicines in it.
Mr Ihtesham Ali Khan said that enough funds were provided in routine to the hospital to facilitate the illing elements of the tribal society especially in causality but lack of medicines in it put question mark at the efficiency of the administrators of the health center.
He took notice of the negligence and directed to the Additional Secretary Health Khezar Hayat to initiate an inquiry against administration of the hospital and bring to law those found guilty.
