PESHAWAR
The Drug-Free Peshawar campaign, led by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and supervised by Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud, has successfully completed its two-month phase, said a handout.
As part of the initiative, the statement said , a new skill development program has been introduced for drug addicts undergoing treatment.
Under the supervision of the TEVTA department, a series of vocational training courses have been initiated at rehabilitation centers.
Officials from TEVTA have been deployed to these centers to impart various skills to the individuals currently in recovery. Approximately 200 addicts, who are receiving treatment, will benefit from these training sessions.
Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud, expressed his commitment to visiting several rehabilitation centers this Friday to evaluate the progress of the skill development program.
In addition, efforts will be made to secure stable employment for those who have recovered, ensuring they have a productive future and reducing the risk of relapse into addiction.
