The provincial chairman of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao has criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial government for failing to address the rights and welfare of the people.
Despite being in power for the third consecutive term, the PTI government neither brought any real improvements nor improves the provincial economic condition, he said Sherpao while chairing the provincial cabinet of QWP at Watan Kor Peshawar discussed the party preparations for the upcoming anniversary of Shaheed Hayat Muhammad Khan Sherpao.
He noted that government employees were protesting due to non-payment of salaries, blaming the unsatisfactory economic policies of the PTI government for this issue. Sherpao further pointed out the challenges faced by the people of the province, including inflation, unemployment, and lawlessness. He criticized the provincial governor for focusing on political points rather than addressing the real issues faced by the public.
Additionally, he blamed the provincial government for the deteriorating security situation, citing the closure of communication roads in Kurram district for months, which has led to severe shortages of food and medicine. Despite these challenges, he reaffirmed the QWP’s commitment to the welfare of the province. He emphasized that his party would continue to strive for the supremacy of the constitution and the law, the achievement of provincial autonomy, and tackling the challenges facing the province.
