PESHAWAR: The district administration, in collaboration with the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has demolished encroachments and constructions in the Karkhano Markets area. The operation targeted illegal structures that had encroached upon roads and footpaths, hindering pedestrian movement and exacerbating traffic congestion in the area. According to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, the encroachment mafia had illegally occupied roads and footpaths, causing significant inconvenience to pedestrians. During the operation, heavy machinery was used to dismantle the encroachments. The district administration has vowed to take strict action against those responsible for the illegal occupation.
