PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Syed Fakhar Jihan on Tuesday administered oath to the newly elected cabinet of the District Press Club Buner.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the District Press Club Buner, wherein the newly elected president, Mukhtar Khan, vice president Shabbir Buneri, general secretary Saeed Ur Rehman, press secretary Bahlol Bacha and other office-bearers took oaths.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Syed Fakhar Jehan, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and several other political and social personalities were present at the occasion.
The provincial minister congratulated the newly elected cabinet and emphasized the key role of journalists in highlighting the issues of the public.
He stated that journalism is an important profession and the fourth pillar of the state.
In response to a question, the provincial minister mentioned that the provincial government is working on a priority basis to promote sports.
He further shared that the provincial government had already inaugurated an international-level hockey turf in Swari, Buner adding that Buner’s regional sport, Makha, would also be included in national-level competitions.
