PESHAWAR: A newlywed bride lost her life while the groom was left unconscious due to gas accumulation and suffocation in their room in Amankot, a suburban area of Mingora city in Swat district. Mingora police informed on Tuesday that the couple, who had tied the knot just 12 days ago, had left a gas cylinder burning overnight. The cylinder fire burnt all the oxygen in the room, resulting in death of the bride and unconsciousness to the groom. The victim couple was shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital for medical treatment. It is worth noting that such incidents of gas leakage had previously raised concerns in the area but people still fall prey to such carelessness. APP
