Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif accused Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of manipulating the electoral process and undermining the mandate of the people.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Barrister Saif claimed that the Governor of Punjab has confirmed that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is being groomed to become the Prime Minister, a plan reportedly backed by President Asif Ali Zardari.
Mr Saif asserted that the PPP leadership, under President Zardari, has been on a mission for some time to pave the way for Bilawal’s ascension to the top political office. “President Zardari wants Bilawal to wear the Sherwani of the Prime Minister’s office, while Shahbaz Sharif should prepare to take his leave from power,” he stated.
He further accused both PPP and PML-N of conspiring to manipulate Form 47, a crucial electoral process, in a bid to maintain their hold on power. However, he claimed that their efforts will ultimately fail.
“The so-called ‘fake government’ that has been put in place through manipulation and rigging is on the verge of collapse,” Saif declared.
He called out both the PPP and PML-N for disregarding the true democratic will of the people, accusing them of “playing with the mandate” and undermining the core principles of democracy.
Dr. Saif said that the rightful leader of Pakistan is Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), adding that the people of Pakistan will soon reclaim their mandate.
He maintained that the political maneuverings of the PPP and PML-N will not succeed, as the “fake rulers” will be held accountable for their actions.
“Soon, these rulers will be behind bars, and Imran Khan will once again assume the office of Prime Minister,” he added.
Saif accused the PPP and PML-N of leading the country towards economic and political turmoil.
He warned that their political tactics were contributing to the destruction of the country’s future and urged the public to recognize the manipulative strategies of the political elites.
