Rawalpindi: Encroachments in Niazi Town Chowk, Baraf Khana, and Misrial Road within the jurisdiction of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board remain unresolved. Allegedly, with the connivance of the Cantonment Board’s anti-encroachment department, street vendors have taken over main roads and alleyways, causing severe traffic congestion.Residents are facing difficulties due to traffic jams and encroachments. According to details, complaints were lodged by locals with the Cantonment Board authorities regarding encroachments in these areas, but no action has been taken so far. Before Iftar, street vendors occupy roads, footpaths, and even alleyways, making it nearly impossible for both vehicles and pedestrians to move freely.In response, residents have urged the Station Commander and CEO to take immediate action to eliminate encroachments in Niazi Town Chowk, Baraf Khana, and Misrial Road.
