Historic e-auction, 52 contracts auctioned for Rs. 2.52 billion

An important meeting on e-auction was held under the chairmanship of Secretary of Mines and Minerals, Pervez Iq-bal, where a detailed discussion took place on the successful implementation of Punjab?s first-ever e-auction. According to the Secretary of Minerals, in the first phase of the e-auction, 52 contracts were auctioned, generating a total revenue of Rs. 2.52 billion.
He termed this achievement a historic milestone and stated that this initiative would significantly increase the depart-ment?s annual revenue.
Pervez Iqbal emphasized that the modern e-auction system would not only facilitate investors and contractors but also promote transparency and impartiality. He further stated that this initiative would help eliminate corrupt mafias and provide the business community with safe and easy investment opportunities.
The Secretary of Minerals highlighted that the e-auction would open new avenues for development in the mining and minerals sector. He also stressed that the use of modern technology would lead to improved management of mineral resources.
Senior officials from the Mines and Minerals Department also attended the meeting.
