PESHAWAR: Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan, has alleged that billions of rupees allocated for the Ramadan package were distributed among PTI members instead of reaching the deserving poor. In a statement, he claimed that the funds were being misused as advance payments for participants in a potential agitation march after Eid. He accused the provincial government of corruption, stating that even Zakat and charity funds had been misappropriated. Criticizing Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s administration, he urged the government to fear the consequences of such actions, emphasizing that the misuse of welfare funds has left the underprivileged struggling during Ramadan. He further alleged that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had mismanaged and squandered a significant portion of the Ramadan relief funds. DLP Report
