NEW YORK: Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmed has officially assumed his role as Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. According to report Munir Akram had quit charge on completion of his term on March 30. Asim Iftikhar was discharging his responsibilities as acting envoy since the last one and half month. A dignified farewell reception was held in honor of Munir Akram. Rich tribute was paid to him for meritorious services rendered by him.
