PESHAWAR: The founding chairman of the Muttahida Pakhtunistan Party Dr Khan presented a comprehensive manifesto highlighting the party’s dedication to the welfare and empowerment of the Pashtun people. Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Dr Khan outlined the party’s objectives, emphasizing a strong commitment to Pashtun nationalism, Islamic welfare principles, and the rights of minorities living on Pashtun land. The party’s vision includes making Pashtun the primary language of instruction in both government and private schools, while also ensuring the mandatory inclusion of basic technical education for both men and women. Dr. Khan emphasized that other languages would be taught only as supplementary subjects. Additionally, the party advocates for the integration of Pashtun traditions into the education system, including the teaching of key Islamic texts such as Surah Baqarah and Surah Noor, with translation and brief commentary. Further outlining the party’s welfare proposals, Dr Khan stated that women who stay at home to raise children would be given the status and privileges of primary school teachers. Widows with children would receive state-level housing, financial assistance, and education. The Muttahida Pakhtunistan Party’s manifesto places a strong emphasis on the sovereignty and development of Pashtun land, with a clear focus on protecting Pashtun cultural, economic, and social rights while promoting a fairer society for all its citizens.
