Police in Landikotal seized a large quantity of Ice drug and arrested three piddlers in a
Major operation against Dldrug Tltraffickers on Wednesday, officials said.
Statiobn House Officer Adnan Afridi said Ilin a major crackdown against drug dealers and smugglers, Landikotal police seized a significant quantity of narcotics and arrested three suspects, following the directives of Khyber District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal.
Adnan Afridi said under his supervision assiatant subinsoector Bahar Gul, the police set up a special checking point at Ziyaray area in Khyber. He said during the operation, a suspicious vehicle was stopped and thoroughly searched. The police recovered 5 kilograms of Ice (methamphetamine) and 3 kilograms of heroin hidden in secret compartments of the car.
He said the persons arrested identified as Imdad, Fahad and Khudayar and a case has been registered against them. Further investigation is underway.
DPO Rai Mazhar Iqbal commended the police team for the successful operation and reaffirmed that strict actions against drug traffickers would continue without any discrimination. He vowed to utilize all available resources to make Khyber a drug-free district.
