An important meeting regarding the eviction of illegal occupants in the Labor Colony under the Workers Welfare Board, Labor Department Mardan was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir.
The meeting was held to formulate a comprehensive strategy to eliminate illegal encroachments in the labor colony and provide government housing facilities to the actual beneficiaries. Saifullah Zafar (Director Administration), Muhammad Ali (Director Finance), Azam Zahid (Assistant Director Estate and Colonies) and Suleman Wazir (Assistant Director Technical) attended the meeting and discussed this important issue in detail.
Several important decisions were taken during the meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Mardan, including giving a 15-day notice to non-resident occupants living in the labor colony, taking eviction action as per the law after the stipulated period, completing the action in a transparent and efficient manner with the cooperation of the district administration and police force, and fulfilling all legal requirements to allot residential units to the actual beneficiaries.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir emphasized that all these steps should be completed transparently, timely and within the legal framework so that the management of the labor colony can be improved and the actual beneficiaries can get their rights.
