Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will finally settle their bitter rivalry in a middleweight showdown at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, 26 April. The long-anticipated bout, years in the making, echoes a legendary family feud that began with their fathers in the 1990s. The fight marks the third major boxing event at Tottenham’s ground, following Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora. Eubank Jr and Benn are expected to make their ring walks around 9.45 p.m. BST, with undercard coverage beginning at 5 p.m. BST.
Eubank Jr, 35, enters with a record of 34 wins, 3 losses, and 25 knockouts. Benn, 28, is unbeaten in 23 fights with 14 knockouts. The bout will be contested at a 11st 6lbs middleweight limit, and a hydration clause limits weight gain post-weigh-in.
While no official title is at stake, Turki Alalshikh, head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, stated that a win could earn the victor a shot at Canelo Alvarez. The WBC has backed this possibility.
“This rivalry has history, drama, and the potential for a career-defining outcome,” said WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.
