The purpose of the MoU between Abbottabad University and COMSTECH is to equip Palestinian students with the light of education, said Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Malik Mujaddid ur Rehman.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Malik Mujaddad ur Rehman visited COMSTECH in Islamabad, where he and his delegation including Registrar Dr. Zia Ahmed and Director Academics Dr. Muhammad Rizwan were warmly welcomed by COMSTECH Media Advisor Muhammad Murtaza Noor.
On this occasion a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Vice Chancellor of Abbottabad University, Prof. Dr. Malik Mujaddad ur Rehman, and the Director of COMSTECH, Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, to provide free education to Palestinian students.
Director of International Relations and Communication, Asraf Haidri, appreciated the excellent initiative taken by Abbottabad University and COMSTECH for supporting educational activities for Palestinian students and assured full cooperation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Director COMSTECH, Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, congratulated Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Malik Mujaddad ur Rehman for providing free education and support for the needs of Palestinian students, and assured full support from COMSTECH.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Malik Mujaddad ur Rehman stated that it is an honor for Abbottabad University to welcome 9 Palestinian students and to provide them with free education along with complete support for their other expenses.
During the ceremony, the Director of COMSTECH, Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, and the COMSTECH delegation paid tribute to Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Malik Mujaddad ur Rehman, acknowledging that he is the first Vice Chancellor and Abbottabad University is the first institution determined to illuminate the lives of Palestinian students with the light of education during these difficult times.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, souvenirs were exchanged between the heads of both institutions Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Malik Mujaddad ur Rehman and Director COMSTECH Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary and a pledge was made to work together and ensure cooperation for providing free education and other support to Palestinian students.
