JAA developed to ensure every journalist is safe, secure journalist

Journalist Alert App (JAA) has been carved out for protection of the journalists which will be launched on May 3.
Shafiq Chaudhry founder of JAA told the journalists in briefing “ I am thankful to press club and representatives of press club for developing this app. “I can consider this step an ideal step that it will ensure every journalist is a safe and secure journalist.
He held it is binding on Pakistan to provide statistics with reference to journalists to global world because Pakistan has been declared a dangerous country for the journalism.
He held that government policy for protecting the journalists has always been weak. Pakistan becomes target of ridicule in the comity of nations due to untoward incidents with journalist every year.
We have kept in view all stake holders while developing this App. Police and press club representatives also joined it.
We kept in view opinions of the journalists in the development process. who have passed through some adverse situation.
Only those journalists will have access to this App whose membership of press club is proven.
We will launch this app on May 3, Press Freedom Day. Press club will be Admn of this app. Admn will conduct verification when any journalist logs in and journalist will be able to use this app after verification process.
If some threat comes to any journalist and he reports it through app then press club will refer it to FIA being admn.
This app will obtain statistics of untoward incidents and threats from the journalists whenever they face.
The journalists can seek emergency response forthwith by pressing pink button through this app.
This app has been named as journalist alert app.
