PESHAWAR: The meeting of the Standing Committee on Elementary and Secondary Education Department was held today under the chairmanship of Committee Chairperson and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Taj Muhammad. Members of the Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Mashwani, Ejaz Ullah, Asma Alam, Anwar Khan, and Sher Ali Afridi were also present. The committee expressed displeasure over the continued absence of senior officers of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, as well as Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation, in meetings convened to deliberate important matters, follow up on previous decisions, and respond to call attention notices. Chairperson Taj Muhammad took serious notice of the non-serious attitude of the concerned officers towards the standing committee and stated that a privilege motion will be moved against them for their failure to attend important meetings and fulfill their official responsibilities.
