ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to remove name of Rauf Hassan central information secretary of PTI from Exit Control List (ECL). The court declared the order for putting name of Rauf Hassan in ECL illegal and based on malafide intent. Justice Inam Amin Minhas approved the plea for removing name of Rauf Hassan from ECL. The court directed Rauf Hassan to resort to trial court for permission to travel abroad. The court remarked trial court should decide early about the plea of Rauf Hassan as per law. According to counsel, Rauf Hassan is cancer survivor who has to go to UK for check up. It has been said in the court’s order that according to counsel a case of FIA is registered against the petitioner and he is on bail in the said case. The counsel argued that placing name of any one in ECL merely on the basis of registration of case is unjust. The IHC ordered to remove name of PTI central information secretary Rauf Hassan from ECL.
