Efforts underway to control forest fire in Malakand: Pir Musavir

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Forests, Environment, Wildlife and Climate Change, Pir Musavir Khan, has said that the Forest Department, Rescue 1122 and local people are jointly working to control the fire in the private and difficult mountainous area of Jabban Dargai Malakand.
In a statement issued here, the Special Assistant said that the fire in the mountainous areas of Malakand, Ala Dhand, Charat and Gonyar was extinguished on Saturday.
Talking about Jabban Dargai, he said that all senior officers and personnel of the Forest Department Malakand Division, Lower Swat, Patrol Squad, and Wildlife Department are present there and are fully participating in the rescue operation.
He appealed to the public to support the government in the protection of forests because forests are the guarantee of our survival, That is why the promotion and protection of forests has been the top priority of the provincial government from day one.
