MoU Signed Between KMU and Social Service for Physically Disabled Persons and Artificial Limbs Workshop

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, has stated that the MoU signing between Khyber Medical University (KMU) and the Social Service for Physically Disabled Persons and Artificial Limbs Workshop holds immense importance. Through this collaboration, the youth of the province will be introduced to modern artificial intelligence and contemporary technologies. Equipped with this training, they will be able to provide effective medical treatment and support to patients. He expressed confidence that KMU and the Social Service Workshop will fully utilize their capabilities with a focus on students to successfully achieve the desired objectives.
He expressed these views while addressing the MoU signing ceremony as the chief guest. On this occasion, a formal signing of the MoU took place between Khyber Medical University and the Social Service for Physically Disabled Persons and Artificial Limbs Workshop. The ceremony was also attended by Director of Social Welfare Muhammad Rafiq Mohmand, KMU officials, and other relevant officers.
The purpose of this understanding is to enhance communication and cooperation between the two institutions. The MoU will remain effective for five years and may be extended with mutual consent.
While addressing the ceremony, the Provincial Minister for Social Welfare stated that the department is taking long-term steps for the welfare and development of the public in the province. Thanks to the government’s people-friendly policies, a noticeable reduction in public hardships is occurring. He added that as a result of these initiatives, the public will soon experience a significant positive change.
He further stated that the Social Service Workshop will provide a supportive and conducive environment for KMU students. A joint committee comprising representatives from both institutions will also be formed to oversee the training activities and suggest solutions for any obstacles encountered.
This mutual collaboration will not only provide students with better practical training opportunities but will also improve rehabilitation services for individuals with physical disabilities. Earlier, on behalf of KMU, Institute Director Dr. Abdullah, and on behalf of the Social Service Workshop, Manager Fayaz signed the MoU.
