In an operation, Kurram Police successfully recovered two young girls who were abducted earlier this week.
The girls, three-year Sonia and four-year Sajma, were safely rescued from the possession of their kidnappers, and the entire gang, including its ringleader, was arrested.
Addressing the media, District Police Officer (DPO) Kurram, Malik Habib Khan, shared that on May 20, 2025, a resident from Paracha Colony, Sadda, reported the abduction of his two daughters by unknown individuals at Police Station Sadda. Immediately following the complaint, SP Operations Lower Kurram, Jahanzeb Khan, and SHO Sadda Police Station, Khalil Khan, along with lady searchers and police officials, were directed to take prompt action to locate and rescue the girls while apprehending the kidnappers.
DPO Malik Habib Khan praised the swift and coordinated efforts of the police team, led by SP Jahanzeb Khan and SHO Khalil Khan, who conducted multiple raids and utilized modern investigative techniques, along with professional training, to track down the criminals. The breakthrough came when the police located the mastermind behind the abduction and able to arrest the woman and safely recovered the two girls.
In his address, DPO Khan added that the arrested gang leader was brought to Sadda Police Station, where further interrogations led to the identification and capture of several accomplices.
Within just six hours, police forces, under the leadership of SP Jahanzeb Khan and SHO Khalil Khan, arrested the remaining members of the gang, including Azmatullah, Abidullah, Meraj, Yasin, Saadat, and Shahid, all residents of Murgha Cheena, Sadda.
A case has been registered at Sadda Police Station, and investigations were launched.
The parents of the rescued girls expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Kurram Police for their swift response and effective operation.
