Under the supervision of the District Administration Khyber, a total of Rs.23 million worth of compensation cheques approved by the provincial government were distributed among affected traders and the families of those who were killed or injured during the recent operation in Tirah Valley.
A cheque distribution ceremony was held at Jirga Hall in Tehsil Tirah for traders and families impacted by the recent security operation in the region.
The ceremony was attended by deputy Clcommissioner Khyber captain (Retd) Bilal Shahid Rao, colonel Zubair, additional deputy commissioner (Relief) Irshad Ali, additional assistant commissioner Amanullah and Tehsildar Tirah Syed Muhammad.
Tribal elders, community leaders, and members of the local business community from various tribes of Tirah valley also participated in the event.
Deputy commissioner Bilal Shahid Rao personally met with the affected traders and the families of the deceased and injured individuals.
Deputy commissioner distributed the cheques under the financial assistance package approved by the provincial government.
The provincial government had earlier announced the relief package for the affected families of Tirah Valley.
A total amount of Rs.23 million was disbursed among the families of deceased, injured persons and traders who suffered losses during the military operations.
