Main suspects involved in murder of six family members arrested in Peshawar

In a major breakthrough, Peshawar police have arrested the main suspects involved in the brutal murder of six members of a family in the jurisdiction of Urmar police station.
According to police statement issued here on Friday, the arrests were made following a high-level investigation launched on the special directives of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Qasim Ali Khan.
The statement said that the operation was conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Masood Ahmed and SSP Investigation Noor Jamal. A special team—comprising SP Saddar Division Raza Muhammad Khan, DSP Rehman Baba Circle Diyar Khan, DSP Investigation Bahat Munir Khan, SHO Police Station Urmar Noor Muhammad Khan, and other investigation staff—carried out the investigation using modern scientific methods and worked tirelessly day and night to track down the suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Shamshad and Mansoor, sons of Dilshad and residents of Urmar Bala, were accused of opening fire and killing six family members on May 19, 2025.
The victims included two women, two young men, and two children. A case was registered at Urmar police station on the complaint of Naseem, son of Atlas Khan, following the tragic incident.
CCPO Qasim Ali Khan took immediate and serious notice of the heinous crime and directed the formation of special teams to ensure swift justice. The arrests of the primary suspects have been hailed as a significant step forward in the case.
Further investigation is ongoing to determine the motive and identify any possible accomplices.
