TAUNSA SHARIF/LAKKI MARWAT/BAHAWALPUR
During the joint operation by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Police in Taunsa Sharif, Bahawalpur and Lakki Marwat, 9 terrorists have been killed.
5 hardened terrorists were killed and five were injured during intense exchange of fire with Fitna al Hindustan near border village in Taunsa. CTD thwarted big tragedy by launching timely operation in Bahawalpur. One terrorist was killed and 3 suspected terrorists escaped.
In Lakki Marwat, 3 suspected terrorists from TTP Tipu group were killed in combined operation by CTD and police.
Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz have paid tribute to CTD and police over successful operations.
