KOHAT
Conservator Circle Kohat Shahid Noor, along with Commissioner Kohat Mutasim Billah Shah held a meeting on Wednesday regarding formulation of a strategy to prevent illegal mining in Shakardara area of Kohat and promote effective coordination between the relevant agencies. The meeting was held on the special instructions of Secretary Forests, Environment and Wildlife KP Shahid Zaman. The meeting discussed in detail the threats posed to the environment by illegal mining, the damage caused to forest land and the negative impact on the local population.
