Prices of petroleum products are likely to be jacked up for the next 16 days.
Oil industry has completed working in view of petroleum products and sent to it to OGRA. OGRA will sent the working to government tomorrow. According to sources the prices of petrol is likely to be increased by Rs 6.60 per liter and high speed diesel by Rs 5.27 per liter for coming 16 days. According to sources the prices of kerosine oil is likely to be decreased by Rs 3.74 per liter and light diesel by Rs 2.23 per liter.
Price of US crude oil rose to 3.42 dollars per barrel during last 14 days.
The summary for determination of prices will be sent to federal government tomorrow.
As per sources Prime Minister (PM) will accord final approval to new prices of petroleum products.
Following the approval by PM, finance ministry will make announcement in respect of new prices.
New prices will remain effective till July 31.
