Opposition leaders hold key meeting at Governor House on Senate Polls, Reserved Seats

A joint meeting of opposition party leaders was held at the Governor House on Saturday, chaired by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi.
The meeting brought together prominent figures including JUI’s central leader Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman, Opposition Leader in KP Assembly Dr. Ibadullah, PPP Parliamentary Leader Ahmad Karim Kundi, JUI Deputy Parliamentary Leader Maulana Lutf-ur-Rehman, PPP Provincial President Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, General Secretary Shazi Khan, PPP Senate candidates Rubina Khalid and Talha Mahmood, and JUI Senate candidates Maulana Atta-ul-Haq Dervish and Dilawar Khan.
Iqbal Wazir from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians, opposition members of the provincial assembly, and other senior party leaders were also present.
The meeting focused on the swearing-in of MPAs holding reserved seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and the current political scenario surrounding the upcoming Senate elections.
Attendees discussed various aspects of the situation and developed a joint strategy moving forward.
During the meeting, the participants strongly criticized the delay in administering the oath to members on reserved seats, terming it a violation of democratic norms and constitutional rights.
The leaders also expressed their commitment to working collectively to uphold parliamentary traditions and prevent any attempts to manipulate the democratic process in the province.
