Secretary Auqaf and Religious Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Inayatullah Waseem, in a special video message regarding the arrangements for Rabi-ul-Awal, said that this year the month will be observed in an even more befitting manner, featuring a Ashara of blessed celebrations. For this purpose, the provincial government has allocated a significant amount in the last cabinet meeting. He added that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued special directives to ensure that no shortcomings remain in the Rabi-ul-Awal celebrations.
Sharing details of the events to be held under the theme of Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen, the Secretary said that starting from 1st Rabi-ul-Awal, a series of activities will begin across the province. He detailed that from the 1st to the 7th of Rabi-ul-Awal, Naat and Qirat competitions will be organized at the district level while before the 7th, the top three position holders from each category will qualify for divisional-level contests. He added that their names will then be forwarded by divisional commissioners to Peshawar for the provincial-level competitions, where the final contests of Naat recitation and Qirat will be held on 11th Rabi-ul-Awal.
He further said that on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, a grand Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen Conference will take place in Peshawar, under the patronage of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He furthered that the conference will be attended by scholars, religious leaders, members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muttahida Ulema Board, and the Interfaith Harmony Committee. The winners of the Naat and Qirat competitions will receive prizes directly from the Chief Minister.
Appealing to the public, Secretary Auqaf urged that those who may not be participating directly in the district-level Qirat and Naat contests should still attend these blessed gatherings and partake in their spiritual blessings.
