KP distributes over Rs1b in compensation to martyrs’ families

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information and Public Relations Minister Barrister Dr. Saif has said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the provincial government has accelerated the compensation process for martyrs’ families and flood-affected people. He said cheques worth Rs. 664 million have been distributed among the families of 332 martyrs, including Rs. 342 million for families of 171 martyrs in Buner. Additionally, Rs. 19.5 million has been given to the injured. For flood victims, cheques worth Rs. 58 million have been issued to owners of completely destroyed houses, while Rs. 14.5 million has been provided to the owners of 39 partially damaged houses. Each affected family has also received Rs. 15,000 in food stamps through a digital app. Dr. Saif said the provincial government is committed to standing by the affected people and will ensure timely compensation for all victims.
