BANNU: Additional Inspector General (AIG) of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Shaukat Abbas on Thursday visited the Frontier Constabulary Lines, the terror-affected building, and the crime scene in Bannu. He was accompanied by DIG Bannu Region Sajjad Khan, SP CTD Fazal Wahid, and senior Frontier Constabulary officers. During the visit, Additional IG paid tribute to the brave personnel of the police and security forces who courageously confronted the terrorists and eliminated them. He offered prayers for the highest ranks in the hereafter for the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery for those injured during the operation. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by the police and security forces will never be forgotten. “Thanks to these martyrs, peace prevails in the country today,” he stated, adding that the nefarious designs of terrorists will never be allowed to succeed. Shaukat Abbas maintained that the war against terrorism is in its final phase. With the unwavering support of the nation, he affirmed, the complete eradication of terrorism will be achieved.
