Seminar on culture, heritage, peacebuilding held in Peshawar

A seminar on “Promotion of Heritage and Culture and Establishment of Peace” was held at Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, under the directives of Secretary Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Captain (R) Kamran Ahmad Afridi, in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (KPCVE). The event aimed to raise awareness among youth about tolerance, peace, and the eradication of violence and extremism.
A large number of students and faculty members attended the seminar. Speakers highlighted that the promotion of cultural heritage and values strengthens social harmony, peace, and stability. They stressed that educated youth have a vital role in the progress and prosperity of societies, and must therefore contribute positively by safeguarding cultural heritage and supporting peacebuilding efforts.
The seminar concluded with an interactive session focused on the effective role of youth particularly students in fostering peace and social cohesion.
