Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif represented Pakistan at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, convened in response to Israel’s airstrikes against Qatar. Over 50 Arab and Islamic leaders attended. At the Summit, the Prime Minister strongly condemned Israel’s aggression, reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar, and underscored unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He called for a united Islamic response to counter Israeli adventurism and reiterated Pakistan’s 7-point action plan for collective measures. On the sidelines, the Prime Minister held meetings with the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, the King of Jordan, and the Presidents of Egypt and Iran. The preparatory ministerial session, attended by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, finalized the Joint Communiqué, which condemned Israel’s violations and called for global accountability.
