Solarization of worship places a flagship project: Sadozai

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Energy, Engineer Tariq Sadozai has said that the solarization of mosques and worship places across the province was a flagship initiative of the provincial government, which will be completed at the earliest so that the public can fully benefit from its outcomes.
He expressed these views during his visit to Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan districts, where he inspected the ongoing projects of converting mosques and worship places to solar energy being executed by PEDO, a handout said.
He was accompanied by Project Director Solarization Asfandyar Khan, PEDO’s Regional Manager (South) Engineer Sana Waheed, and other concerned officials.
During his visit, the Special Assistant inspected the solar equipment installed in mosques of Kohat that had already been shifted to solar power.
CM aide on energy directed the project authorities to ensure completion of the remaining work within one month. He also instructed PEDO officials to accelerate monitoring of all solarization projects.
On this occasion, he met with local residents and obtained their feedback regarding the benefits of the project. Relevant officers also briefed him in detail about the progress of solarization projects in these districts.
Engineer Tariq Sadozai directed the officials to ensure timely completion and installation of high-quality equipment so that the maximum number of people could benefit from this key flagship initiative of the provincial government.
He further added that practical measures are also underway to solarize schools and other government buildings under PEDO.
