Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, has said that the recent reshuffling in the provincial cabinet is aimed at advancing the vision of PTI founder Imran Khan.
He termed the decision a step towards good governance and improved service delivery.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, Mr Saif stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had the full confidence of Imran Khan, who recently directed the CM to further enhance the government’s performance.
“Those opposing the reshuffle are, in fact, opposing the vision of Imran Khan,” he asserted.
The advisor emphasized that cabinet reshuffling is a constitutional and democratic prerogative of the Chief Minister and is done to ensure the formation of the best team under current circumstances.
“Our top priority is to provide better facilities to the people, and for that, the government must be agile and responsive,” he said.
A day after the resignation of two provincial ministers, CM Gandapur reshuffled the portfolios of 10 cabinet members and advisers.
On Tuesday, Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Faisal Khan Tarakai and Minister for Irrigation Aqibullah Khan stepped down from their positions.
The Chief Minister, in a video statement the same day, had hinted at more cabinet changes upon his return from Islamabad.
Dr. Saif reiterated that the reshuffle reflects a commitment to effective governance and is part of a broader effort to streamline government performance in line with PTI’s foundational principles.
