Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed visited the City Traffic Driving Training School in Hayatabad, where he formally inaugurated a newly established modern training classroom aimed at enhancing public convenience and driving education.
During his visit, Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan gave a comprehensive briefing to the CCPO regarding the facilities available at the school.
He highlighted recent improvements in the traffic system, ongoing reform initiatives, and the overall performance of the traffic police in the region.
CCPO also interacted with citizens who were present for the issuance of driving licenses.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, he emphasized that the identity and discipline of any society are reflected in its traffic behavior.
He urged citizens to fully comply with traffic laws, driving regulations, and road safety standards.
He noted that the establishment of modern driving training schools is significantly contributing to public awareness and practical driving skills.
“Three driving training schools in Peshawar are currently equipping citizens with modern knowledge and techniques to promote a culture of safe driving,” he said.
On the occasion, the CCPO distributed certificates to male and female participants who had successfully completed their driving training courses. He commended their efforts and stressed that trained drivers play a vital role in safeguarding not only their own lives but also those of others on the road.
Later, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed visited the newly established modern traffic cabin at Aman Chowk, Peshawar. He inspected the services provided to citizens, particularly the issuance of learner permits and other traffic-related facilities.
Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid briefed the CCPO on the state-of-the-art traffic cabins established at Aman Chowk, Club Chowk, and CPO Chowk. He explained that all these facilities have been developed with modern infrastructure and services to ensure maximum convenience for the public.
