A senior PML-N leader Khurram Dastgir Thursday asserted that all political rifts with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have been resolved, and both parties now stand united against terrorism and committed to defending Pakistan’s national interests. While speaking in an exclusive conversation with a local news channel, Dastgir revealed that a high-level delegation from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) recently met with PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari. He stated that the political differences between the two parties are nearly resolved, marking a significant step toward greater political understanding. Dastgir emphasized that both the PML-N and PPP are now aligned in their efforts to bring political and economic stability to the country. He further affirmed that the two parties have come together to form a united front against terrorism, reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding national security and upholding the country’s broader interests.
Responding to a query, Khurram Dastgir made it clear that provincial autonomy is the constitutional right of every province, and this right will be fully respected. He emphasized that respecting the autonomy of all federating units is essential for national unity and democratic stability.
He said that the PPP is our ally and this alliance will continue with full strength and mutual commitment, as both parties are dedicated to working together for the country’s political stability and progress.
